Meet ourFounder
Jeanette Tachynsky, is a multi passionate entrepreneur, as a Canadian, she currently resides in Ottawa, well that’s where she changes her suitcase, for now anyway.
Her passion for Event Management has allowed her to gain over 20 years of experience, collectively, as a Program Officer, Conference Planner, Hospitality Manager and Special Events Coordinator, International Retreat Planner and Host. She is always looking to excel in her career path and share her expertise as a leader, which allows her to express her existing skill set and gain new knowledge to share within the ever growing and developing wellness industry.
Jeanette has also been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She chose to deepen her personal practice by taking her first yoga teacher training in Vinyasa, and more recently she has attained another 200-hour Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda teacher training, both in beautiful Costa Rica. Jeanette also has a certification in Y4T, advanced trauma informed yoga. She has a passion for learning, especially new skills to heal herself and to share these tools with others to help them in their healing journey.
In addition to being a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, Jeanette is also a meditation teacher and a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner. By fate she is an energy healer + medicine woman and shares these gifts when she feels called.
Her sense of humour, charismatic personality, and compassionate nature create an inviting environment for her students and clients. She holds space for those in her world to be their authentic selves; to be curious, to learn, to grow, to heal and to breathe.
By bridging the gap between our fast-paced Western world and the Pura Vida lifestyle of Costa Rica and Canada, Jeanette, truly celebrates living a lifestyle of both this and that. Truly being all that you be and having all that you desire; from business suits to carefree + barefoot in Costa Rica, she created Embrace Retreats Inc where the jungle meets luxury.
A note from our Free Spirited Founder:
After hosting my first retreat in Costa Rica in the depths of the jungle at the luxurious Imiloa Retreat Centre, (a true paradise) I realized very quickly that what lights me up is to create the space for others to shine in their gifts and offerings.
My true gift is to create and hold space, to allow others to be in their light, and shine as brightly as they can. It lights me up to plan and take on the logistics for any event, so that the hosts can truly be in their sense of genius, their true essence, and not worry about a thing.
To create a space of unity and community is embedded in my heart. My soul belongs in Costa Rica and it is an honour to create magic here with those who call this land home. I wish to continue to create magic on a bigger scale, bringing to life others’ visions as they share their gifts with the world.
From travel consultations, to truly creating a tiered service to support however we can, we are here for it all and wholeheartedly wish to support, offer guidance, and shine light to the ideas, events, retreats and travel that you are inspired to create.
